“Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See?” Board book + PECS ‘I can see’ strip + picture cards + tips to help your child understand and use ‘Big’ and ‘Little’, ‘On’ and ‘Under’, colours and animals and place in 5 word level phrases.

The book is a brand new board book measuring 7” x 5”, and has 12 double pages featuring a range of animals in this well-known story.

The ‘I can see’ strip is backed with card and comes with 9 colour symbols and 9 black and white pictures of the animals featured in the book, attached to a baseboard with Velcro dots, so that your child can comment when the page is turned e.g. ‘I can see a purple cat’.

NB The colour of the baseboards or backing card for all picture resources may vary.

The picture cards are of a big and little brown and white dog and bear, and a big and little red and blue bird and fish attached to 2 x A5 baseboards with Velcro dots.

There are 2 place boards of a slide and a bench, backed with card for extra durability.

There are 64 picture instructions in total: 4 packs each of 16 picture instruction cards, featuring each of the animals on or under either the slide or the bench.

The resources are designed to help children understand and use language up to the 5 word level (put the BIG RED BIRD ON the BENCH, put the LITTLE WHITE DOG UNDER the SLIDE etc).

Finally there is an A5 advice sheet, with tips for using the resources to boost your child’s speech and language, gained from my 30 years work as a Speech and Language Therapist (now retired); only the headings are shown here - the full advice sheet will be sent out with the product.

All the picture resources and the TIPS sheet are laminated with Matt non-reflective plastic.

The picture resources and advice sheet fit into a sturdy A5 zipped bag, labelled with a brown parcel tag, for convenience and durability.

This resource extends the language-boosting potential of a well-loved book, with picture games that work well for children with delayed language, for children with autism, and for children learning English as an additional language.
