Elmer’s Special Day Colourful Semantics and Blank Levels Questions Pack

Paperback book + Colourful Semantics sentence templates, question words, and pictures  + Blank Level Questions + tips for use.

The paperback book measures 27cm x 24cm and has 15 double pages.

There are Blank Level Questions (see below) to use while reading the book, but the main resource is the Colourful Semantics.

Colourful Semantics resources: there are 15 filled sentence templates to describe each page in the picture book, and 2 blank sentence templates, 1 for 3 words, 1 for 4 words; then there are 10 different colour-coded question word pictures, and 40 colour-coded picture symbols. Each picture symbol measures 6.6cm high x 6.72cm wide - 4 fit horizontally onto an A4 sheet. I have used the most recent colour-coding for Colourful Semantics.

These resources are used to talk through each page of the book, and to support sentence construction for 3 and 4-word sentences.

This is a good starter pack for Colourful Semantics, as the first activity is simply matching the individual picture symbol cards to the filled sentence templates.

There is an A4 sheet of 20 Blank Level Questions from levels 1-4 to ask as you read through the book together, and on the back are tips for using these resources plus a list of all the different sentences you can make (in template formats).

All the picture resources are laminated using non-reflective Matt plastic, and fit into an A4 popper bag. And everything fits into an A4 zipper bag, labelled with a brown parcel tag.
