“Find the Duck” Usborne board book + picture symbols + 2 lotto boards with 12 matching pictures + tips to help your child understand and use the following words related to bath time in sentences up to the 4 word level:

toilet, bath, sink, duck, spider; big, little; in, behind, in front; toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, towel, brush, comb, shampoo, shower; boy, girl; brush your teeth, brush your hair, wash your hands, wash your hair, have a bath, dry yourself

The book is brand new and has 12 pages featuring a rubber duck hiding in different places in the bathroom.

The photo symbols are of a big and little duck and spider, all laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic and attached to a baseboard strip with Velcro dots, that are compatible with PECS products (Picture Exchange Communication System).

There are 3 place boards, approximately A6 size, of a toilet, a sink and a bath, laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic and backed with card for durability.

There is a pack of 36 photo instruction cards, measuring 3.5” x 2.5”, featuring each of the objects in each of the places (e.g. the big spider in the sink, the little duck in front of the bath), laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic and held together with an elastic band.

There are 2 ‘What do you do with it?’ lotto boards, backed with A4 card, showing items in the bathroom, and 12 matching action pictures.

The resources are designed to help children understand use language at the 1 word level (where’s the DUCK?, who’s having a BATH?), the 2 word level (put the DUCK in the BATH, find the GIRL BRUSHING her TEETH), the 3 word level (put the SPIDER BEHIND the TOILET, find the LITTLE DUCK in the BATH), and the 4 word level (put the BIG SPIDER IN FRONT OF the SINK, put the LITTLE DUCK BEHIND THE BATH).

Finally there is an advice sheet, laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic, with tips for using the resources to boost your child’s speech and language.

All the picture resources and the advice sheet come in an A4 popper bag, labelled with a brown parcel tag, for convenience and durability.

This resource extends the language-boosting potential of a well-loved book, with picture games that work well for children with delayed language, for children with autism, and for children learning English as an additional language.
