Little Red Riding Hood’ Hardback Book + Grandma and Wolf Face Lottos + single pictures of 6 characters + location cards of a yellow and blue bed and wardrobe + 32 picture instruction cards + Story Sequencing Baseboard strips with 12 matching pictures + Colourful Semantics baseboard with 35 matching colour-coded pictures.

The Hardback Book is a brand new Ladybird book, measures approximately 19cm x 19cm and has 24 pages.

There are 2 Lotto baseboards (size A5) of a wolf’s face and a Grandma’s face, with matching velcro’d pieces to match/mix and match: GRANDMA’S HAIR/EYES/TEETH, WOLF’S EARS/EYES/TEETH.

There are 6 characters attached to a baseboard with Velcro ( a big and little girl/red riding hood, wolf, and grandma), and 4 location cards (A5 size, backed in card) of a yellow bed, a blue bed, a yellow wardrobe and a blue wardrobe, with Velcro to indicate UNDER, and a clear way to position a character IN. There are 32 picture instructions showing the 6 characters in different positions.
There is also an advice sheet to support using these games with children.
These resources are designed to support understanding and use of words for size, colour, position and place, up to the 5 word level e.g. ‘put the BIG GIRL UNDER the YELLOW BED’, ‘put the LITTLE WOLF IN the BLUE WARDROBE’ etc.

All the above picture resources are laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic, and fit into an A5 bag labelled with a brown parcel tag.

The Story Sequencing Baseboard is 4 strips of 3 pictures, attached with treasury tags so it can be folded. It comes with 12 matching single pictures, each measuring 5cm x 5cm.

The Colourful Semantics Baseboard has a box for placement of 1 of the story pictures, a strip of 4 boxes underneath with velcro on (for the adult to prompt with the velcro’d question pictures), and a strip of 4 boxes for the child to place the appropriate colour-coded pictures.
The colour-coding used comes from the most recent and widely-used ‘Colourful Semantics’ theory:
subject(orange ‘Who?) - verb (yellow -‘What doing?’- object (green - ‘What?’) - place (blue -‘Where?’) - indirect object (pink - ‘To who?’) - adjective (cloud shape - ‘What like?) - possessive (spikey shape - ‘Whose?’) - adverb (black - ‘How?’)
There are 35 colour-coded pictures to place onto these strips: 8 x subjects, 10 x verbs, 4 x objects, 9 x places, and 1 each x possessive, adverb, indirect object and adjective.

These resources are designed to support children to sequence the events of a story, and to make 4 word sentences to describe each stage of the story.

All the picture resources and the book fit into an A4 size bag, labelled with a brown parcel tag.
