The Very Hungry Caterpillar 3 Word Level Picture Pack (no book)

Picture cards + tips to help your child understand and use ‘Big’ and ‘Little’ and words for food. The resources are designed to go with “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” book, but can be used with or without the book.

The picture cards are of a an apple, pear, plum, orange, strawberry, melon, ice-cream, sausage, cheese, cake and lollipop (all in the book), laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic and attached to a baseboard with Velcro dots, that are compatible with PECS products (Picture Exchange Communication System).

There are 4 place boards of a little caterpillar and a big caterpillar, a little butterfly and a big butterfly, laminated and backed with card for extra durability.

There are 2 packs of 24 picture instruction cards (48 in all) , featuring each of the food items with either the little caterpillar or the big caterpillar, the little butterfly or the big butterfly, laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic and held together with an elastic band.

The resources are designed to help children understand and use language at the 2 word level (give the APPLE to the LITTLE caterpillar, give the CAKE to the BIG caterpillar etc) and the 3 word level (give the ICE CREAM to the BIG BUTTERFLY, give the CHEESE to the LITTLE CATERPILLAR etc.)

Finally there is an A5 advice sheet, laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic, with tips for using the resources to boost your child’s speech and language, gained from my 30 years work as a Speech and Language Therapist (now retired).

The picture resources and advice sheet all fit into a sturdy A5 zipped bag, labelled with a brown parcel tag, for convenience and durability.
