Whale and Heart Building Set

Whale and Heart Building set + photo symbols + a photo instruction book + tips for use to help your child ask and take turns.

The brand new building set has 26 bricks/pieces which fit into an A4 plus size zipped bag labelled with a brown parcel tag.

The photo symbols can be used for picture exchange (PECS - Picture Exchange Communication System) to request bricks, and to practise some simple describing words. There are 11 photo symbols on a baseboard, attached with Velcro dots (compatible with other PECS products).

The photo instruction book (pages 1-20) will help your child take turns with you listening - being the ‘builder’ - and talking - being the ‘teacher’ - as described in Lego Therapy.

NB: There are 2 extra blue bricks which are not used in the photo instructions: these can be used to make different models.

These resources will help your child understand and use the following words:

Brick, whale, heart, eye, flower; curved, sloping, flat, small; yellow, white, red, pink, blue, light blue; 1,2,3,4; I want, put.

The tips are on an A4 page backed with card, with advice on how to use the pack to develop language skills.

All picture resources are laminated in Matt, non-reflective plastic.

All the picture resources and tips fit into an A4 popper bag, which in turn fits inside the A4 zipped bag for convenience and easy storage.

Highly recommended for children with delayed language, children with autism, and children learning English as an additional language.
