Product Details

Picture Resources: picture cards + picture instructions + tips to help your child understand and use more words related to transport, animals and colours.

The book is a brand new paperback, measures approximately 10” x 11”, and has 26 pages featuring a range of animals travelling in different vehicles, with rhyming text.

The photo symbols are of a tiger, a crocodile, an elephant and a giraffe, all laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic and attached to an A5 baseboard with Velcro dots, that are compatible with PECS products (Picture Exchange Communication System).

There are 9 place boards, measuring approximately 7.5” x 5”, of a red, white and blue car, train, and bus, and a 10th place board of a rollercoaster - all laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic and backed with card for durability.

There is a pack of 36 photo instruction cards, featuring each of the animals in each of the vehicles (e.g. the tiger in the blue car, the giraffe on the red train), laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic and held together with an elastic band.

The resources are designed to help children understand and use language at the 1 word level (where’s the TIGER?) the 2 word level (put the TIGER in the BUS) and the 3 word level (put the GIRAFFE on the RED TRAIN).

Finally there is an A5 advice sheet, laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic, with tips for using the resources to boost your child’s speech and language, gained from my 30 years work as a Speech and Language Therapist (now retired).

The picture resources and advice sheet all fit into a sturdy A5 zipped bag, labelled with a brown parcel tag ,for convenience and durability.

This resource extends the language-boosting potential of a great book, with picture games that work well for children with delayed language, for children with autism, and for children learning English as an additional language.
