There are 2 baseboards for the big and little pets - one for those sleeping, and one for those sitting down. The pets can be placed on the grass and the cushion using the Velcro dots -see photos for examples.
There are 24 picture instruction cards showing each big or little animal either sitting or sleeping on the grass or the cushion.
These resources are designed to support activities at the 1 word level (e.g. ‘give me the DOG’, ‘who is SITTING on the GRASS?’); at the 2 word level (‘give me a SLEEPING CAT ’, ‘where’s the BIG RABBIT?’); at the 3 word level (‘put the BIG DOG on the CUSHION’, ‘where’s the LITTLE RABBIT SITTING?); and at the 4 word level (‘make the LITTLE DOG SIT on the GRASS’, ‘show me the BIG CAT SLEEPING on the CUSHION) etc.
There is an A5 tips sheet giving ideas on how to use the pictures.
All picture resources are laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic, and the Velcro dots are placed so as to be compatible with PECS products (Picture Exchange Communication System).
Everything fits into an A5 zipped bag, labelled with a brown parcel tag for portability and storage.
This is a great resource for supporting language development in children with delayed language, children with autism and children learning English as an additional language.
