Big and Little Sea Creatures 4 Word Level Picture Pack

Single animal pictures x 12 (big and little penguin, polar bear and seal) + location cards of a boat and an iceberg + 24 picture instruction cards + tips for using with children to help them use and understand words for sea creatures, big/little, and the prepositions on/under.

The big and little animals are attached to an A5 baseboard with Velcro dots, and can be placed on/under the boat or the iceberg using the Velcro dots positioned on or under each location - see photos for examples.

There are 24 picture instruction cards showing each big or little animal either on or under the boat or ice.

These resources are designed to support activities at the 1 word level (e.g. ‘give me the PENGUIN’, ‘who is on the ICE?’); at the 2 word level (‘give me the BIG SEAL ’, ‘who is UNDER the BOAT’); at the 3 word level (‘put the BIG POLAR BEAR on the BOAT’, ‘where’s the LITTLE SEAL UNDER the ice?); and at the 4 word level (‘put the LITTLE PENGUIN ON the BOAT’, ‘show me the BIG POLAR BEAR UNDER the ICE’) etc.

There is an A5 tips sheet giving ideas on how to use the pictures.

All picture resources are laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic, and the Velcro dots are placed so as to be compatible with PECS products (Picture Exchange Communication System).

Everything fits into an A5 zipped bag, labelled with a brown parcel tag for portability and storage.

This is a great resource for supporting language development in children with delayed language, children with autism and children learning English as an additional language.
