Build 15 Models - larger size bricks suitable for 3 year olds and up. (Burgkidz large bricks: 135 bricks in total). The finished models measure approximately 8-12 cm by 8-12 cm on average, making them easy to handle and fit together.
There are 5 separate sets of 3 models for ease of presentation and distribution (recommended for use in schools).
Each set of 3 models has a labelled A5 zipped bag containing the bricks for all 3 models, and an A5 popper bag with a photo symbol baseboard and a set of photo instructions for each model, plus a ‘Help’ baseboard with detachable Help symbol, plus tips for use.
The photo symbol baseboards are approximately A5 in size, and have between 4 and 8 photos (depending on the model), each with a name underneath E.g. ‘small yellow brick’. These are used for brick-to-photo matching and simple description of each brick.
The photo instructions have ‘I want…’ and ‘Put…’ sentence starters (pages 1 and 2) on each pair of photos, showing the bricks needed in the first, and the result in the second. There are between 6 and 14 pages depending on the model. These are used to support children requesting bricks, and giving simple instructions.
All the sets fit into an A3 zipped bag, with an A4 page overview of what’s contained in each set.
This pack is recommended for Lego Therapy activities: 1:1 work, pair work and small group work with children with delayed language, children with autism, and children learning English. It is designed to work on listening, turn-taking, requesting, and giving instructions.
Fuller advice/tips for use are given in each A5 popper bag for each set, so these are suitable for use by parents, nursery and school staff, as well as Speech and Language Therapists.
