Jack And The Beanstalk Sensory Story Pack with Paperback Book
The paperback book measures approximately 23cm x 23cm and has 12 double pages telling the well known story.
The 12 Story Sequencing Pictures are A5 in size, laminated and backed in card. On the back of each picture is a list of the sensory objects needed, actions to perform/encourage, and any dialogue.
The Sensory Objects are chosen to emphasise the actions in this story. They include tactile, auditory and visual objects. The objects are as follows:
Cow Tin - 6cm high, 6cm diameter to turn over for the ‘Moo!’ Sound
5 small beanbags in a small tote bag - approximately 7cm square, to represent the magic beans
Out of the window/garden - green cotton bag with handles approximately 36cm x 40cm (not including handles)
Knotted green scarves = beanstalk, measuring approximately 150cm (5 ft) long/high
Slide Whistle - to show climbing UP and DOWN. Approximately 24cm long.
Giant’s Beard- adult size - elastic may need to be knotted
Prompt Cards - 2 x A4 cards laminated with the Giant’s words printed
Box of gold coins - 30 plastic gold coins, light but make a good rattle in the box and can be thrown.
Feather Duster = hen. Feather head with wooden handle.
Harp - plastic basket/box with elastic bands to ‘ping’
Recommended for 1:1 and small group work.
