Product Details
Wild animal toys + fabric ‘grass’ and ‘river’ + object-picture lotto + photo lottos x 2 + picture instructions x 32 + colour-coded sentence boards + pics x 12
These picture and toy resources will help your child practise SENTENCE ORDER using the following words at the 3 and 4 word level (reversible Subject- Verb – Object):

bear, elephant, giraffe, tiger; chased, jumped on; grass, river; who?, what doing?, what?, where?

There are 4 wild animal toys measuring approximately 3-4”, made of good quality plastic, and sold as toys for children over the age of 3 years. The ‘grass’ is a piece of green fur fabric, and the ‘river’ is a piece of blue jersey material. The toy objects fit into an A4 plus zipped bag labelled with a brown parcel tag.

There is an object-picture lotto board backed with green card, and 6 matching photos showing each of the toy objects. Each picture/photo has the name of the object displayed.

There are 2 photo lottos with 8 matching photos. These show photos of the actual objects with the reversible subject-verb-object sentence also written underneath each photo e.g. the bear chased the elephant. These are used for matching and practising listening to and giving instructions at the 3 word level, by acting out with the toys.

There are 32 picture instruction cards showing pictures of the same animals in different combinations of subject-verb-object- place e.g. the giraffe jumped on the tiger in the river. These are used for listening to and giving instructions at the 4 word level, by acting out with the toys.

There are 2 colour-coded sentence boards, backed with card, - one for use with the photo lotto cards to help form 3-word sentences, and one for use with the picture instruction cards to help form 4-word sentences. Both use the current colour coding system used in ‘Colourful Semantics’. On the reverse of each sentence board is an alternative colour-coding system, depending on your preference. There are 12 matching colour-coded pictures: 4 x subjects, 2 x actions/verbs, 4 x objects, and 2 x places.
All the picture resources fit into an A4 popper bag which in turn fits inside the A4 plus zipped bag.
This pack will help your child process the order of words in a sentence, namely which animal is the AGENT or SUBJECT (doing the action) and which animal is the OBJECT (having the action done to them). For this purpose the cards show reversible subject-verb-object sentences e.g
‘the elephant chased the bear’ vs ‘the bear chased the elephant’
‘the tiger jumped on the giraffe’ vs ‘the giraffe jumped on the tiger’.

Highly recommended for children with delayed language, children with autism, and children learning English.
